25th November 2004 The Conclusion: a nice letter is received from the CEO of Marie Curie thanking us for the money raised and Tom receives his John O'Groats to Land's End certificate (only a portion of the journey but a longtime personal ambition of his).

The Orcadian
Arrived in Stromness, having cycled accross the Faroes, Shetlands and Orkneys, to meet the Northlink Ferries team. An interview is given for The Orcadian.

Having made his way accross the interior of Iceland, north to Husevik and finishing up in Akuyreri, Tom flew (courtesy of Air Iceland) to the Island of Grimsey and corssed the Arctic Circle with the bike (a certificate was presented to mark the occasion).
